This version uses a simpler patch + less stuff to build

A newer patch to add support for openvmtools has been sent here: http://patchwork.ozlabs.org/patch/378207/

This bug will be closed as the policy for new packages is to send them on the mailing list. 

If you are still interested in getting openvmtools integrated, please test and/or review the mentioned patch to accelerate its integration.
